NAMAK PARAY RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
1.Flour ...2 cups (All purpose flour / maida)
2.Salt.......A Small teaspoon (levelled not full)
3.Carom seed......Half teaspoon ( crushed)
4.Oil......2 Tablespoons
METHOD
STEP 1 MIXING
Mix all the ingredients well then rub with fingers till a crumbly texture is formed.Knead into a dough using water .Once the dough is formed ,keep kneading for 5 more minutes.Cover the dough and let it rest for 30-35 minutes.Knead it again for 2 minutes .Divide the dough into two equal roti size balls. Then roll out each portion as thin as a roti/Chapati shape.Cut straight with the help of a pizza cutter or a knife and then make diagonal cuts.
STEP 2 FRYING
Heat the oil to medium flame.Deep fry them in a hot oil ,but remember to set the flame at a medium setting while frying.High flame can burn them at once so avoid cooking at a extremely hot flame.Keep on turning /flipping at regular intervals ,till it cooks evenly on all sides.Cook till medium golden brown colour appears ,and then remove it on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil.Store in air tight container for 15-20 days .
