How to make easy home made nans (Languages: English ,urdu ,Hindi ,Pashto) 2017

EASY HOME MADE NANS

 

INGREDIENTS  

2    Cups maida /self raising flour

1    Teaspoon salt

1/2 Teaspoon baking soda

1/4 Teaspoon sugar

Water to knead a dough

METHOD

STEP 1: Dough making

 Pour the ingridents into a bowl and mix them together.Now by adding water knead it for about ten minutes till a roti dough is formed.Shift the dough into a slightly oiled glass container and cover it with a plastic cling wrap. leave the dough for 4-5 hours.Dough will not rise much as its not a pizza dough.
  

STEP 2: Cooking

  First of all divide the dough into equal roti sized balls.Roll out a single roti ball(pera) into a thick roti (approx:6inches )Heat the flat tawa ( the flat disc shaped cooking pan mostly used in asian cooking)Apply water to one side of the rolled roti and put that wet roti side onto the tawa.The roti will stick on the tawa then quickly reduce the heat till the upper side of the roti cooks slightly brown.Then invert tawa straight onto the flame and cook till it gets the ideal roti colour.Now remove with the help of a spectula or a knief.Make other rotis with the same procedure and serve hot with any salan.
